The Regulars

Sarah Stolfa's 'The Regulars' is an interesting set of photos.  I like them more for being a set than on their own.  It somehow brings out the contrasts in each subject, the variety of subjects yet also how they all frequent the same place. In the past, when I think of the effort and quantity of research we underwent to identify and then target our 'target' market, these images make a mockery of it.  Each punter is so different, or are they?? I like the 'props' i.e. drink of preference, loose change etc; the dark background and the consistent use of flash (I'm guessing).  I also like the concept which could be translated to any public house or place yet has been well executed and leaves a lot to interpretation.
